State Minister of the Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia, H.E. Ambassador Birtukan Ayano, held talks today (July 05) with H.E. Ambassador Tracey Jacobson, Chargé d’Affaires at the U.S. Embassy in Ethiopia, on ways to provide improved consular services.
Ambassador Birtukan stressed that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia is trying to provide the diplomatic community and humanitarian partners in Ethiopia with timely services.
Observed challenges in the consular services of the FDRE Immigration and Citizenship Service would be resolved soon, the State Minister added.
Ambassador Birtukan further called on the U.S. Embassy in Addis to take the longstanding relations between the two countries into account in providing consular services.
The two sides also exchanged information on bilateral relations and current situations, and vowed to strengthen cooperation for the common good of the two countries.
