The upcoming #AU summit will be held under the theme “Acceleration of #AfCFTA Implementation.” The implementation of the Africa Continental Free Trade Area Agreement (AfCFTA) is promising, as all African countries except one have signed the Agreement and 44 countries have also ratified it. The AfCFTA has the potential to create a continental free-trade zone with a combined Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of USD$3.4 trillion. This trade agreement, if implemented fully, would become the largest in the world.
