H.E. Ambassador Delil Kedir paid a courtesy Visit to H.E. Ben Joubert, BRICS+ Sous Sherpa and Director of Regional Organizations in DIRCO.

H.E. Ambassador Delil Kedir and H.E. Ben Joubert reaffirmed the enduring and reliable partnership between Ethiopia and South Africa that was further enhanced by the Ethiopian membership to BRICS during South Africa’s presidency in 2023.

During the discussion, both sides underscored the importance of closer collaboration within BRICS+ platforms and bilaterally in the spirit of friendship.

H.E. Delil Kedir commanded South Africa’s role of hosting the G20 presidency for the first time in the Africa Continent. He added that; indeed, it is an African showcase, and we are proud of it. Thus, he pledged Ethiopia’s unwavering commitment to support the presidency in all means.

In this regard, Mr. Ben welcomed Ethiopia’s usual commitment, and to that effect, he indicated that Addis Ababa would take a share of the Agenda discussion in coordination with AUC.
